hat collections

While it’s fun to make a single hat, as a designer I welcome the challenge of making a hat collection. Creating a hat collection involves finding the right inspiration.  It’s about creating a vision that has a strong identity and a cohesive narrative.  Sketches need to be made, materials need to be selected, and prototypes need to be fashioned. It’s a process with many steps. Ideas are tried.  Some are successful while others need to be changed or abandoned.

Each hat needs to be part of a greater whole. If the hat only stands on its own then it ceases to be part of the collection. To remain the hat must be part of a greater whole.
